Nyambu's mum medical expenses

Dear friends and supporters,

I’m reaching out for financial support due to the sudden sickness and eventual passing of my dear mother, Florence Nyaguthii Murage aka Aunty Flo.

She suddenly got a stroke on Friday, 23rd of August and was rushed by neighbours to a nearby hospital where diagnosis confirmed a blood clot in her brain. Consequently, the process of breaking down the clot led to a brain hemorrhage which had her in critical condition where her health deteriorated leading to her tragic passing on Friday 30th Aug.

My mum was my greatest friend and support. She has been the root that has held, nurtured and anchored me. As the only child whom she raised single-handedly, we've been so close and the gap that this loss leaves is indescribable. I am grateful though, to have been able to travel back to Kenya to spend her final days with her.

I am now in urgent need of assistance as the hospital requires us to clear the bills, so we can proceed with the burial processes and rites. The bills have been extra high due to the Intensive Care Unit expenses, and due to the fact that unfortunately in Kenya, good quality and reliable health care is privatized and unsubsidized. Additionally she did not have health insurance after retirement.

The total bill amounts to 18,000EUR and so far we have managed to raise 13,000EUR(as of 9th sept) Any support from you, with whatever amount of money or sharing fundraiser, would be super helfpul

Update: We managed to borrow some money in order for the hospital to release her body for burial, so we still need to cover the remaining amount to cover this debt
