Nyaka Fun Run

Tax deductible
In 2001, Jackson Kaguri founded the Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project with the conviction of providing young children orphaned by the HIV/AIDS epidemic with a quality education. Today, the Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project provides services to more than 40,000 orphans in Uganda, including not only education, but clean water, nutritious meals, and most importantly a chance to chase their passions and find opportunity.

Over the years, the Friends of Nyaka club at Korea International School has hosted various events intended to raise funds for the project, from barbeques to basketball tournaments. This year, we decided to switch things up with a 5k Benefit Run, where people of all ages can come and run or walk for an amazing cause. After the race, our esteemed guest, Mr. Kaguri will share his story which resulted in the founding of this great organization. Throughout the race, people can attend the silent auction, where they may bid on different items. On top of this, we want to start this GoFundMe page in order to give the Nyaka AIDS Orphans Project donations to further help develop Nyaka, and to also raise as much awareness to the public as possible. Any donation possible would be much appreciated and would help the students in Nyaka immensely! Thank you!

Some events we have hosted in the past:

Nyacue (BBQ event)
Benefit Dinner (formal speech given by Jackson)
Fun Run
Barefoot Walk (7 mile walk)
3 vs 3 Basketball Tournament
Buy a brick (each brick bought goes to Nyaka)
Coin War
