Help my mama beat breast cancer!

Update! My mom had her surgery this week and was able to come yesterday. She's feeling sore but healing on track and even got some Gigi and Mylez cuddles <3

Hey all!

My mom was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. Luckily, it was caught early and she's able to get immediate surgery and be on a path toward remission. Unfortunately, she is left with major co-pays and medical bills plus, she will have to miss 2 months of work without her full compensation. She's reaching out and asking for help so she can get her surgery and cover her costs. Our family is hoping you can support with whatever you can!

A little about Dee (my mom): she's a grandma (aka Gigi) to Mylez, a labor and delivery nurse, and is passionate about making sure every patient is treated with dignity. She's also our matriarch, one of my biggest heroes, who I saw put herself through school while raising three kids on barely above minimum wage. She loves her bestie crew, pup Kyra, and being by the water. If you've ever met her you would know many (aka her kids and their friends) call her Deelicious because of not only her big personality but her big heart. Her entire life, she has been a caregiver to so many, family and not. I am hoping that this sweet, nerdy nurse, is able to receive as much caregiving in this process.

Breakdown:

$6,500 -- remaining co-pay and medical bills

$4,000 -- lost wages (her job is only able to pay 60% of her hours-- because she is part to be able to watch her grandson during the week while her daughter is also in nursing school, this 60% is being factored to only "24 regular hours". Which means she is only getting paid 1/4 of what she would typically earn during the week.)
