NYC Marathon - Children of Peru

Tax deductible
**UPDATE: I have reached my original $1,250 goal thanks to the generous contributions of those that have already donated. Any additional funds I can raise to support the Foundation would still be welcome and appreciated and I have increased my goal to $2000 - enabling a $4000 contribution to the charity with DB matching**

Friends,

On November 5 I will be running the NYC Marathon representing the Children of Peru Foundation.

My goal is to raise $1,250 to support the Foundation's mission to provide a better future for poor children in Peru through healthcare and education programs.

Since 2006, the Children of Peru Foundation has partnered with non-government organizations to support this mission; it currently funds mobile medical units in Lima and Cuzco which provide first aid, social support and surgical & dental services to poor and underprivileged children in these areas.

Having visited Peru a number of times, I am proud to represent the Foundation and help raise funds for a great cause.

I have been training for the run around Central Park and up and down the East River, and am looking forward to the challenge of completing the 42.2km - hopefully in under 3.5 hrs.

I would greatly appreciate any support you can provide - all donations made through this 'gofundme' page will be matched by Deutsche Bank and enable a $2,500 USD contribution to the charity.

More information about the Children of Peru Foundation can be found on their website: http://www.childrenofperu.org/

Thanks for your support and look forward keeping you posted on the run!
