Ernesto "Sugar" Martinez was a well known and loved man. He brought many people comfort during their struggles and lifted those who needed a reminder of their purpose in life. He loved every person with whom he crossed paths and took them under his wing with no expectations.
The one thing Sugar cherished and was most proud of in his life were his children. When he passed away on March 3, 2015, at the young age of 70, his children were devastated.
It is our goal as his children to try and give him the best funeral service we can - one that he deserves. Our hopes are to raise enough money to pay for the many expensive things that come with funeral costs and to honor his personal requests. We would like the affairs to be in order as soon as possible so we can all grieve and try to move toward the big things in life our father always knew we were intended for.
Our goal is to try and raise around $1500 to pay for some of his funeral costs. Any funds we recieve over the cost of the funeral will be donated to a local cancer foundation in hopes that someday soon, this horrible disease will be cured and other people will not have to lose their loved ones the way we have lost our father.
Any contributions would be very much appreciated as we start a new journey with our father watching from above, instead of by our side, like he always did.
Thank you in advance for your continued support during these difficult times.
