Kamran Gujari began his studies in Architecture at the University of South Australia in 2013. On the 25th of April 2014, nineteen year old Kamran was visiting Petrel Cove, Victor Harbour where he tragically drowned.
His friends and fellow Architecture students have been working on 'The Kam Project' memorial bench since, which is to be located within the university. The design process has involved hours of collaboration where students have shared memories and experiences of Kam, explored the models he created, his love for art and architecture, as well as his cultural heritage.
The aim has been to incorporate all these things in a design that celebrates his short life with us and raises awareness of the dangers present at Petrol Cove.

On Wednesday the 4th of March we held a bake sale at our university and have already raised $1,250! We were even interviewed by Channel 9 News and are so thrilled that they are interested in what we are doing for Kam! The report can be seen here.
As the loved ones of Kam we ask for your support in fundraising for this project. We are truly passionate in making sure we achieve our goal. We believe Kamran's life was taken too quickly, but his mark will be made within our university's community, and hopefully throughout Adelaide.
