Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball needs your help!!!

Want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money to strictly benefit Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball Inc.'s existence in our community. Any donation will help make an impact and offset the impact of the suspended season due to COVID-19.  The suspended season has halted our income sources in its tracks which are needed to operate our non-profit at a breakeven.  Our expenses although some are reduced or deferred currently are still piling up and will eventually need to be addressed.  End result, is that MVPB is running out of funds and needs to start to fundraise aggressively now to not be in a negative position.  The income sources impacted from the suspended season are snack bar sales, ongoing weekly tournament donations, STORM NIGHT fundraiser, SUMMER PONY CLASSIC, and collection of Fall Dues in the Spring. 

MVPB has been a PONY (Protect Our Nation’s Youth) Baseball, Inc. affiliated organization since its inception in 1994 (26 years strong, but, now, COVID-19 battled and in need of a lifeline). Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball, Inc. is a California non-profit corporation and an IRS designated non-profit 501 (c) (3) tax-deferred organization. Our Tax I.D. No. is 33-0629968. 

MVPB is incredibly unique-in the fact, we have our own complex with 6 fields that we lease and maintain. Most leagues use only City fields, so they have no ongoing monthly expenses. MVPB annual expenses to maintain and operate the fields and facility is over $100,000 annually, exclusive of major repairs.  The Covid-19 lockdown, has hurt our league financially to the point of being in survival mode. We have been able to defer the rental of the property for a few months, but we still have, maintenance, and utilities to pay. With no income from our snack bar and tournaments, we are not sure how the league will survive the current shutdown. On top of that someone decided it was ok to steal a trailer with some of our equipment from our locked complex.  We are applying for SBA Disaster Relief, but we all know that may not surface in time to aid us in our imminent needs. We were graciously able to raise $10,000 from a very supportive single benefactor since our Channel 4 News Coverage, just in the last day, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.  We need to stay afloat and need your help for the our youth, community and the love of baseball in our area, which at times is known as the Mecca of Baseball, aka, Inland Empire Baseball!!

Our mission at Murrieta Valley PONY Baseball is to operate with one purpose in mind- to make this a rewarding place for our children to play baseball, make friends, and to develop positive, long-lasting memories. We achieve these goals with the help and dedication of our wonderful parents and sponsors who understand the importance of youth sports and the positive roles that can play in a child's life. It is a league founded and run by all volunteers (dedicated to the survival of PONY Baseball in Murrieta)!!
