Samantha Russell Memorial
Donation protected
Sadly, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, Sam lost her hard-fought battle with DSRCT (Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor). She fought so hard and tried so hard to beat it, but unfairly, it won. Her body just couldn’t fight any longer.
So many people have reached out wanting to know how they can help.
When they can bring food, where they can send flowers, etc..
After talking with Richard, and mostly convincing him, he has allowed us to help this way.
We are trying to support Richard and Eddie anyway we can, while food and flowers are an amazing gesture, what they really need is the financial burden of cancer taken off Richards back.
The countless hours that he spent taking Sam back and forth to the hospital, the number of days he couldn’t go to work because he needed (and wanted) to stay home and take care of Sam, has taken a financial toll. An unfair toll that he should not be left with to deal alone.
Richard is now stuck with countless amounts of medical bills, on top of the typical bills just to live and survive.
We want to help him.
Instead of sending flowers, donate that money directly to Richard and Eddie.
Instead of buying them food (which they already have almost too much of), donate that money to them.
But most of all, just be there, emotionally, and physically, if able.
He needs all the help he can get.
This is new territory for this family, and it’s unfair for him to be left alone to figure it out.
If you would like to donate another way, please reach out to me, and I will happily get you in touch with Richard, or find another way for you to donate (Venmo, cash, check, etc.)
Sam was loved beyond measure and will be so greatly missed by all that had to chance to have her in their life.
