Support Mary and Bill Starkey's Road to Recovery
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Community,
We are reaching out to you today to ask for your support in helping Mary and Bill Starkey, who recently experienced a life-threatening car accident on October 9th, while on their way back home to Florida. The accident left them with extensive injuries, multiple fractures, and in urgent need of medical care. They were rushed to Atrium Health Navicent, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Macon, Georgia, where they have already undergone multiple surgeries. We are relieved to report that they are now in stable condition and making their way out of the Intensive Care Unit, but their journey to recovery is far from over.
Mary and Bill have always been pillars of our community, tirelessly dedicating themselves to helping others in their time of need. Mary is well known for bringing the jail ministry Residents Encounter Christ (REC) to Florida and has dedicated countless years of service to its development. They both have been greatly blessed to serve with so many faithful believers, taking the Good News to residents of our county jails. Along the way they have met so many others who have encouraged them in their walk with the Lord, including all those who serve with the House of Hope ministry.
Now it's our turn to give back to Mary and Bill during their time of need. We have started this GoFundMe page to raise funds that will directly support their ongoing medical expenses, and their eventual journey back home to Florida. The path to recovery is long and filled with many unforeseen costs, including home care support, meals, and various other essential expenses as they rebuild their lives.
