Mick Smith "Mad Mick " has commenced his treatmen

My name is Karen and I am fundraising for my brother Mick.

Mick Smith"Mad Mick or Smurf to many of you on the road" has an extremely rare type of stomach cancer and is now looking at further surgery and treatment. He had surgery at the end of last year to remove his appendix and part of his bowel to remove the tumour. Unfortunately some cells were left behind. He now is currently recovering from further surgery 3 weeks ago. He is now looking at further scans, surgery and treatment.

Mick is a hard-working truck driver and has been all his life.

He is a supportive husband, father, grandfather to 3 soon to be 4. He needs our help to be able to access every available treatment and option available and help to get the best medical care amd to support for his family.

Mick is a special man, friend to many, a son and brother.

I found Mick, my father and the rest of my family only 6 months ago after 58 years. We are so close its like we have known each other for ever It was a dream come true for me.

Please help if you can. Every little bit helps. I know things are tough in this world today but I would be grateful if you could help me to help Mick and his family as it is uncertain when he may return to work. There are many family members, friends, work colleagues and truckie mates who I am sure would throw in a few bucks to help him during these uncertain times at the moment. He is a character, an Aussie battler who "Keeps on truckin '. Let's get him well, back in the driver's seat behind the wheel Truckin On.

Mick is an extremely proud man and would battle through this on his own. Please get behind him and show we are behind him and support him.
