And so it goes... As many others in the area I just lost everything I owned to the Camp Fire that destroyed Paradise, California and the surrounding areas of Butte County. My home, my work, everything is now ashes. My name is Miranda, and I'm a mother of a wonderful 6 year old boy. Just one week ago, my fiancee Matt and I found out we were expecting another. Now, after narrowly escaping the flames, we only own a few sets of clothes, some random trinkets, and the car my entire family escaped in. We found out today that our house was completely destroyed, along with our two vehicles, electronics, computers, and furniture. We did not have insurance. The funds raised will be used for our immediate housing and living expenses, as we both lost our jobs. We will purchase our pet geckos a new habitat, as well as supplies for our cat, Smokie. We will also be starting to collect the items to prepare for our new baby, as well as supplies for our son, Tallon. We will be starting over our lives with a new beginning like a phoenix from the ashes. Thank you for helping our family build a new future from this tragedy.
