I am in a world of trouble right now. My mother and myself were being evicted when she passed away and were expecting help from the state. through a State Emergency Request(SER). Since she passed they are not going to help me now. I just ask you read my problem and help if you can.
Basically I need to come up with an insurmountable amount of money or I'll be evicted on November 13th.
I am going to try to make this as short as possible while still explaining my situation. There is no way I can explain in full detail what the past few months have been like for me and my mother, now worse since she passed and I am alone. I absolutely hate to ask because so many people have done so much for me already, but I am out of options and this is what they tell me is a last resort
Everything started when my uncle passed away July 2024. My mother and uncle have been supporting me due to an undiagnosed mental condition I believe I have called "agoraphobia". In about 2011 I started developing anxiety attack so bad I became a hermit. For a few years I did not leave my house. If you want to know about this condition you can look it up easily. I basically have extreme anxiety attacks when I get into wide open spaces. Kind of like a reverse claustrophobia. The condition also describes people avoiding social situation. I do have that symptom, but I don't think that part is as bad as some cases. For me it's the wide open areas. For the past 15 or so years I have had varying levels of symptoms. Some days/weeks/months are good and feel like I made progress, some are bad
The current financial problem started around September. The trailer park raised our rent $75, the same week they mowed our lawn and charged $150, all while the state of Michigan started taking out an extra $200 out of my moms Social Security check for Medicare PartB. We were short to pay lot rent and our trailer park does not allow partial payments. We started the process of asking the state and any senior assistance organizations for help, as my mom tried to claw back the SS money they shorted her. They said they fixed it, but would not give the money they already took out back. We thought we would still be able to make it up the next month. Fast foreword to October, SS shorted my moms check the $200 again. When all this started my mom had swelling in her legs. Her doctor prescribed her diuretic water pills and other meds to remove the water built up in her legs. Her legs developed blisters which popped and became infected. Her doctor sent her to emergency room where they found worse health problems, She had blood clots, aneurysms, and a bad heart. They put her in hospice care. We had been waiting for the park to serve us the eviction, then we had to wait for the court date to get the judgment papers, then palaces like the state or Salvation Army could help us. We had court in the afternoon of the morning she died. Then I went to court and have been trying to figure out how not to to get evicted. I brought the judgment like we were supposed to. They had me tracking down information about my mom for a week. Then I finally got it all together and they said the state emergency request no longer would work now that she passed away.
I have tried every possible outlet, and have one left I am not expecting a good outcome from. I have no idea what the next few months are going to be like. I am asking for this money to help but I have no idea what's going to happen right now. As of right now I owe $2,100 by the 13th or they can evict me. I only have about $800. That's not counting this months rent for a total of $2,978.98. I set the goal high at $3,000 I really need $1,300 by the 13th to start. I am doing good enough mentally I am looking for a job at places I think I can work at, like gas stations, possibly restaurants. At the same time I'm looking for jobs, I have multiple doctors appointments to work on my agoraphobia issues. I might need to come up with more than that too. I have a (SER) for the state going right now for that. If I get denied I have to come up with that $1,100 for that, or else I'll for sure not be able to ever get the deed in my name. One of the worst parts of this is, it all started being just about $250 short originally. The park refuses to do partial payments and it spiraled out of control. I tried applying for a special program for free and discounted lawyers and was approved, but it also said there was no lawyers taking my kind of case right now
If you do donate to help I need you to know I do not know fully what I'll have to use the funds for. Lot rent and not being homeless is my number one priority. If I can't come up with enough by the 13th and do get evicted, I will probably need to rent a U-Haul and get a storage shed to store some of the valuable stuff so I can continue to sell it off, on top of looking for housing. I just know I don't have enough to last long right now
I am in way over my head and I don't know what to do, but I have to keep trying to make it out of this. I am sorry to even ask, but not asking is not an option right now. If you can donate, or know of any groups you can spread this around to I would be forever grateful
I don't know what else to say. I included a copy of the judgment I received from the court for the eviction. The other papers are the lot rent ledger DHHS had me tracking down for a week for no reason. If you have any questions feel free to ask. If you have any suggestions I am listening
