Over 70% of Hollywood silent movies no longer exist, and 99.9% of the people who made them are gone. One of the handful still living is Lassie Lou Ahern, and she will soon be 95 years old. As a child star she worked with some of the biggest names in the movie world -- Our Gang, Will Rogers, Charlie Chase, Ronald Colman, and many others. A print of her last silent film -- 1927's Little Mickey Grogan -- survives in an archive in Paris but is in desperate need of restoration. In order to rescue it, we have arranged to bring it to the Library of Congress so that restoration work can begin. Yet because the film is on the original nitrate film stock, it requires special handling and thus is very costly to ship it to the USA. With your help, we can save a piece of lost American film history and make it available for people to enjoy today.
