Hello, so I've been homeless for 2 and a half years with my cat, we've tried through multiple councils in England and Scotland to get help to be housed, no councils want to help at all, no landlords will allow me to rent without having a bond and a months rent in advance, for 2years I've been in Scotland travelling all over the country, have tried 3 councils in Scotland and have been unsuccessful, I have tried 4 councils in England and none want to help, I've spoken direct to landlords and they still won't allow me to rent a property without the funds required. Me and my fur baby for 2 and a half years have suffered a lot, at one point my benefits was taken off me and they didn't allow me back on up till a few months ago, so for most of the time, I've relied on hunting, foraging, fishing and growing vegetables in the forests and also friends and community food banks. I've recently yet again tried councils and private landlords, council have said there is a 5yr waiting list even though I have a physical disability and suffer from very bad mental health which I have all my life, things like diagnosed by CAMHS in 97' depression, PTSD and other things. This time I'm trying harder than anything to get me and my fur baby a home before winter arrives so I don't have to spend months in the freezing cold again. I'm a British Yorkshire citizen and it would seem there is just more prioritized people. After suffering through starvation, almost getting frost bite from suffering through below minus ten temps, from having a camp I had robbed of most of my possessions when out fishing for my food. I've gone through so much and I am desperate for a roof over my head asap. Mentally I'm struggling to keep going homeless, physically i struggle daily with my back as I have scoliosis, I've pleaded this to councils and they just don't care. I am now forced to put a public plea out, my fur baby doesn't deserve this and in my opinion, neither do I. If you can spare anything at all, all will be put towards a home, anything you can spare is highly appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this and if you are able to spare anything at all, thank you in advance
