Hi everyone,

My name is Terrisa Parker, and I’m originally from Jamaica. As many of you know, my home country, was recently devastated by a powerful hurricane. Entire communities have been displaced, homes destroyed, and so many families are struggling to start over. Homes, schools, and livelihoods have been destroyed, and countless residents have been left without shelter, water, or food. Watching from afar has been heartbreaking, and I’ve been looking for a way to contribute in a meaningful, transparent way.

Many people, including family friends and extended family members, are facing unimaginable loss and hardship after the catastrophic passage of Hurricane Melissa. I’m starting this GoFundMe to raise funds for relief and rebuilding efforts for my extended family members and others in the affected areas, particularly around the Middlesex and Greenland communities in the parish of Hanover.
