My name is Emily, and last night my entire world was shattered. I received the devastating news that my twin sister, Amber, passed away at just 23 years old.

Amber wasn't just my sister she was my other half. From the moment we came into this world together, we shared a bond that cannot be put into words. She knew me better than anyone else, and I knew her in the same way. Losing her feels like losing a part of myself that I will never get back.

Amber had a light about her that was impossible to ignore. She was incredibly funny, always quick with a smile or a joke, and somehow knew exactly how to make people laugh even during the hardest moments. She had her ups and downs, like we all do, but she was resilient and always found a way to push forward.

Amber grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick, and spent her life there, surrounded by people who loved her deeply.

Our family is now facing an unbearable loss while also being faced with a reality we are completely unprepared for. The cost of funeral and memorial expenses is something we simply cannot manage on our own or at all. No family should have to worry about money while trying to grieve, but that is the position we are in.

We are trying to raise $10,000 to cover Amber's funeral services, cremation, memorial arrangements, and related expenses, so we can lay her to rest with the dignity, love, and respect she deserves.
