Hi my name is Gemma and I have been an independent Cat Rescuer for the last 1.5 years. My love of helping with strays all started in January 2024 when a poor un neutered skinny boy walked into my house but got spooked and ran back out before I could help him, unfortunately the next morning I saw a post of an RTA cat around the corner from me, I picked him up and it was this same boy.

Since then my love and devotion on helping hundreds of stray, abandoned, unwanted and DOA cats has continued.

My heart aches everyday for all these poor souls and I will always do my upmost best to help where I can ❤️‍

This year has been astronomical with the cost of living crisis we all face and with the cat crisis completely out of control right now.

We are struggling to help all the cats who need our help. Unfortunately right now we are facing a multitude of colonies in the local area amongst being asked for help constantly by members of the public.

Right now there are 30-40 cats over 3 local colonies. We are facing our hardest one yet in NW10.

When we first arrived we only went to rescue one kitten which turned out not to be as expected, instead there were deceased young kittens in awful conditions and double numbers of adult cats living amongst neighbouring gardens.

The cats are scared and need to be trapped. Unfortunately their current feeder is no longer and they’re being faced with no food nor water.

Our local volunteers are trying their absolute best but there are only a few of us in the local area and with other full time commitments we are struggling.

The local big rescues and other rescues do not cover or cannot help with colonies.

Now some of the TOMS have developed eye infections due to the conditions they’re living in.

We need help in funding their neutering aswell as any urgent medical care they may need.

An appointment just to see the vet is £65 without any medication, we don’t get discounts and are doing this all in our free time out of love for the kitties.

Every pound counts towards their health care, nothing is to little.
