I am a 42 year old single dedicated father of one, hardworking front-end web developer and Type 2 Diabetic who found - at the start of March 2016 - that I lost my health insurance coverage due to an employer communication breakdown which is currently in appeal process. Then on April 8th I was admitted to the hospital with a serious bone infection in my right foot requiring me to have part of my foot amputated.  After being released from the hospital on April 14th I am facing inadequate post opt care due to the loss of insurance and need money to cover 2 -4 weeks of required post opt care.

The money I am asking for will cover at least 2-3 weeks for the following

$161/day - Wound Vac
$200 - Wound Vac Canister
$800  for 2 cases of dressings for Wound Vac
$190/visit - for wound care nurse visits

Other costs associated with the money I am asking for is to cover extra expenses such as hosing for the vac, tape and seals for vac dressings, and costs associated with nurse visits.

I am in need of this money as soon as possible to obtain the equipment and care I need to reduce the risk of any other infections, potential hospital ER visits due to infection, potentially me losing my entire foot or losing my entire leg.
 
Furthermore the funds I am asking for is to only cover the costs while my insurance is in the appeal process. 

Getting the funds will aid me to quickly recover and be able to contribute on a high level not only as a dedicated father but also as someone who loves his job. I have taken many steps and have tried to the best of my ability to keep my diabetes at bay but now that I am facing this dark time I am reaching out for help to anyone who can help me and hope that there are folks out there that can assist me.  I would be so thankful beyond the depths of my heart for any assistance I can get.
