My family lost everything in the Campfire.
My family and I lost our home in the Campfire. My children and I barely escaped. I am so grateful we are alive. I am still in shock as I know a lot of people are. The reality of literally driving through flames and black smoke, in grid-lock conditions, has had a devastating impact on my family. I am a single mother of three wonderful children who are doing their best to be strong during this time. Right now we are trying to rebuild our lives and recuperate from this disaster. Currently we are living in a hotel and although we truly appreciate the time we have had here, our time is limited. I am asking for your help because we need a home, especially since it is almost winter. My hope is to raise enough money to be able to move into a place that we can call home before Christmas.
I would like to take a moment to express my gratitude to the first responders, firefighters and volunteers for all of their hard work and dedication. I would also like to thank this wonderful community for their selflessness and generosity. The kindness that has been shown has been a blessing to not only my family but to many other families as well.
Humbly Grateful,
Krystal & Family!
