I first met Frank and Christiano in 2022 while volunteering with The Boo Charity in Kibera, Nairobi, one of the world’s largest slums. Raised by widowed mums, these caring, sensitive, hard-working boys have faced unimaginable hardships of poverty, hunger, and disease on a daily basis. Life is hard and cruel in the world's 3rd largest slum. Death and starvation are daily norms.

Yet these two boys are determined, capable dreamers: Christiano aspires to be an engineer, Frank to be a doctor. Both want to make a real difference in the world; with engineering qualifications, Christiano hopes to ensure clean water supplies and better housing, whilst Frank's vision is to stop disease and death by being a doctor to those who cannot afford such care.

I’ve supported their full-time secondary education for the last 3 years, and now they face a pivotal year to complete exams and secure college places. Their achievements speak for themselves: Christiano ranks 9th/283 across all subjects in his school district, Frank 21st/283. With your help, we can fund the final push of covering fees, ensuring they have a meal a day and education essentials so they can break free from the slum, uplift their families, and contribute to their communities.
