Hello everyone, my name is Brittany. Last week on 12/14, my roommate and I had a fire in our apartment. It was my roommate's birthday, and she was cooking her birthday dinner when the fire started. We were unable to put out the fire. It quickly grew out of control, so we looked for her cats and fled the apartment after calling 911. My roommate was able to find one of her two cats, and the firefighters rescued her other cat after she had been trapped in the apartment. Fortunately we were able to escape the unit unharmed and the cats are also fine, but we are now being charged a hefty amount for the damages incurred and will need to replace a lot of the furniture, as it was unsalvageable after the fire. We lost our dining table and chairs, 2 couches, a hutch, a TV stand, a desk, a dresser, and a bookshelf.

Both of us are in college and in need of financial assistance to cover these costs. It was a very stressful and traumatic experience for us.  We appreciate any help. Thanks in advance.
