Hi, sandie here, Luke Paynes Mum….

after losing our baby boy at just 17 years old in a terrible road traffic accident I decided to try and do one last thing for my sweet boy . His pride and joy is a MX5 that he bought himself at the age of 13, an old tin of a car that needed a hell of a lot of work.. then he bought an MX5 manual and that’s where the story starts…

over the last four years he has spent every penny he got for birthdays and Christmas etc and almost every waking hour trying to fix and rebuild this car of his! We have many tales to tell which would make you chuckle…. Sadly his life has been cut so very short and the car sits alone in his garage… so I decided we would somehow get his pride and joy bought to life for him!

Luke was loved by so many people the journey took off almost immediately!

A group of wonderful friends and family have all gathered around, dedicated each other jobs and even complete strangers have offered their services to make this dream come true!! We are truly blown away by all the love and support!

I am documenting the storey daily to share with everyone and it helps us all to deal with our loss… xx

There are so many people who wish to contribute to Luke’s car, to give hands on help, to buy a part, to donate to help with the restoration, that’s it’s been decided together we will create this go fund me page so people who wish to can contribute and be part of the journey..

we dont know how much it will cost as it’s not about the money, therefore anything we raise beyond the repair costs would be donated to the wonderful

Air Ambulance who worked tirelessly to keep my boy alive. We have always and always will support this wonderful charity that’s saves so many lives….

I’m quite sure Luke is watching down on us all and making sure the car is done to his standards bless him…he was very particular about how she going to look ☺️.
