Hello, my name is Kim and I am setting up this account for my friend and co-worker Stephanie Haines. She and her family have had a very trying time recently and unfortunately there are new challenges facing this family.
Three short weeks ago Stephanie and her family were having a normal day. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Then all of a sudden Steph's husband George became violently ill. He was fine and then boom! He spiked a fever of 106.5 and became incoherrant. Steph raced him to the hospital where he was placed into a medically induced coma so that the doctors could try to figure out what was wrong with him. Through out these past three weeks the Doctors and Nurses as well as Steph and her family fought hard to find out what was wrong with George and to help him get better. Unfortunately their efforts were not successful and George passed away this evening.
George did not have life insurance. Steph and George simply could not afford it. They were turned away from most companies due to his health issues. Steph has a long road a head of her and I am hoping to make it a little bit easier for her.
Stephanie is a kind hearted woman. She is the first person to offer help to any one including strangers. Steph and George have one child - Sammy. Sammy is a sweet kind hearted little boy of 9. Steph has not only lost her husband she has become a single mother and a widow all at once. I can honestly say I am amazed at how strong she has been. For the last three weeks Steph has woken up at 5 am or earlier. She has gotten herself ready for the day, then she got her son up, dressed, fed and off safely to school. Then she would start her hour long drive to the hospital. Steph sat by her husband's side day in and day out praying and talking to him. She is on a first name basis with the nurses in ICU. Then around 5-6 pm Steph would kiss her husband good bye and start her hour long drive home. Once she got home it was time for homework and dinner and trying to make things semi normal for Sammy. She stayed strong all this time, breaking down only when she was alone so she wouldn't upset her son. Steph has helped so many please help her now!!!
