Dental Work Fundraiser for Sherri Schliessmann

In Sherri's own words:

"I urgently need 10 tooth extractions in both quadrants of my upper arch. (Any teeth un-circled in the photo have been extracted prior to 2016, or have broken off since) My immune system is weak due to health issues, including ankylosis spondylitis/psoriasis, and my medication methotrexate has deteriorated my remaining teeth and the ongoing infection has caused inflamed gums.

I do not work. I have been on disability since 2018. My husband is unemployed with a leg issue the last few months and my son is also disabled.

I cannot afford amoxicillin, which my rheumatologist requires me to take while on Skyrizi and Methotrexate. I also take methylprednisolone daily. I am in unbearable pain at times and unable to pay for even one tooth extraction. The cost will be between $120 to $180 per tooth. Two of my teeth are broken, and will require an oral surgeon to extract. That cost is currently unknown.

Two years ago, I was quoted over $4000 for an upper denture. I am unsure of what the cost would be today. My ongoing infection may be causing issues with pain relief from my ankylosis spondylitis. I have attached a photograph of my orders from two years ago from an oral surgeon. I did have insurance then but was still unable to afford the out of pocket cost required to have any work done.

I truly would appreciate any support I would be able to gain from this! Even just a share to be able to further spread the word of my urgent need. You couldn't imagine the relief I would get from this, having the source of the pain in my mouth removed! Thank you so much for taking the time out to read this!

I will also need my remaining bottom teeth removed in the near future, as methotrexate continues to deteriorate my teeth. It truly is an ongoing issue."
