Hi friends!
Nathan’s sister and I were given permission to start a Go Fund me page to help with Donna’s medical expenses. Unfortunately, she was admitted to the hospital on an observation outpatient treatment basis even though she has been in the hospital for other issues as well. That being said, Medicare is covering little to nothing. The man who hit her has minimal accident/injury insurance so that isn’t going to cover very much. Donna will more than likely have to pay some out of pocket. We would like to take some of that burden off of her. Here’s the story for those that don’t know:
Thursday, January 27th, Nathan’s mother, who is 87, was in a severe car accident outside of Oelwein. It was not her fault as a car pulled right in front of her and she smacked him going 55. We are blessed and lucky nothing else happened. She fractured her sternum and shattered her wrist in 6 places. She had surgery to repair her wrist.She was in Waterloo at Mercy but has since been transferred back to Mercy in Oelwein. She is a fighter and she is tough. She is by far the strongest woman that I know. So much so, she rarely wants pain meds. She has made improvements but we currently don’t know how long she will be there. She will be starting PT/OT this week. Below is her contact information. I thought maybe we could send cards to help her spirit.
