Saving Humphrey

Hello Everyone!

My dear Humphrey was rushed to emergency last Saturday evening. He suddenly took VERY ill after eating a golf-ball sized burr that was on his paw after a short walk at the beach. Shortly after he began to convulse and was trying to vomit. But, nothing came out. His stomach suddenly began to swell up like a huge balloon. A couple of times he seemed to stop breathing!

Here's a little note from Humph:

I got home from the beach and threw up uncontrollably. I couldn't breath and couldn't make it stop!!! Mom got me to emergency and we found that my stomach had twisted BAD and the condition I had was life threatening called bloat. The first emergency sent us to another b/c my condition required specialists. I knew things weren't good. My Mom crying uncontrollably and a team of strange people surrounding me. I went into surgery @ 2:30am. By 6am the surgery was over. I made it through the worst part. I am finally home 4 days later and home healing with my Mom (nurse Hill). I know my surgery and stay with the specialists was SUPER expensive. And although Mom takes great care of me, I know this is way beyond what she can afford. WE would be SO GRATEFUL if you can help us get through this very tough time for both of us. Any little bit will help ... more than you know.
