Hi friends and family,

I am reaching out and starting this GoFundMe for my grandpa, Richard or as many of you know him, Dick Mills. In late November he contracted COVID. He was very ill and working to get symptoms under control. He took a trip to the ER where they sent him home on oxygen. He needed constant round-the-clock care. My grandma, mom, and uncle were able to keep him going through this time. On January 3rd, he went to the ER again, this time by ambulance. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia and Sepsis. He spent 4 days in the ER on a gurney waiting for a hospital bed to open up. He was finally moved to the ICU where they were better able to assess his needs. He has since been moved to the acute care unit. Today marks his 12th day in the hospital. Since being hospitalized he has experienced congestive heart failure, continued difficulties in regulating his blood sugar levels and blood pressure.

We are asking for donations to help with the mounting medical bills. Any amount helps and goes directly towards his care. He has had two separate trips to the ER, multiple X-rays, a CT scan, oxygen, and continued care. He has a strong desire to be well and come home. He is trying his hardest and putting forth all efforts to aid in his recovery.

His wife and his family rallies behind him and we maintain hope. We are grateful for all the prayers and thoughts.
