Fundraiser for: Bruce Blount's daughter, Anastasia Meenach
Organized by: Elk Grove High School (IL) Class of 1974 (EGHS74) Friends of Bruce
Bruce Blount was a lover. He loved people, walking and flying creatures, his country, rock music and all things Harley Davidson. He loved God and was baptized into the Christian faith at age 11. If you met Bruce, you became his friend. He remained close to childhood friends and classmates, as well as those he met along life’s journey. He was especially devoted to his family—his elderly parents Wayne & Jean (his father battles Parkinson’s), his dear sister Lisa and her family and his beautiful daughter Anastasia and husband Jett.
Bruce raised his only daughter since her middle school years when she really needed her dad. Now, Anastasia is grown, married and expecting her first child in February 2020. Sadly, little Jett will not get to meet his grandfather, something Bruce was very excited about! Our friend Bruce passed away suddenly on November 27, 2019, leaving a huge hole in many hearts. He was a man who spent his energy living life and giving to others, rather than collecting a lot of worldly treasures. When he died, his daughter was tasked with handling all his funeral arrangements/expenses, settling his estate and taking in as many of his dear pets as possible. It's a huge undertaking for her, as she lives several states away from where Bruce resided.
EGHS74 Friends of Bruce have committed to help Anastasia with these expenses and give a brighter future to Baby Jett—something Bruce cannot now do. Please help us to honor Bruce Blount in this way. Thank you!
