Hi, I’m Oliver (38) from Salford, and I’m stepping into the ring to raise money for Multiple Sclerosis (MS).
What am I doing?
To support this incredible cause, I’ve signed up for a White Collar Boxing programme in Manchester. This is an intense 8-week training camp that ends with a live boxing match.
I’m not new to this challenge — I’ve already completed a year of training at Eccles Boxing School, plus an additional six months of personal training before that. Now it’s time to put all that hard work to the test in the ring.
I’d love for you to come along on fight night and cheer me on. More details will follow once confirmed, but if you’d prefer to simply donate, I’m hugely grateful for your support — every contribution truly means the world.
Why am I doing this?
In 2023, after a long and difficult diagnostic journey, my fiancée was diagnosed with MS. For anyone unfamiliar with the condition, MS is an autoimmune disease that affects the nervous system. Because nerves run throughout the entire body, MS can impact people in very different ways — no two experiences are the same.
Samantha has been incredibly strong throughout it all. She experienced a couple of major flare-ups before starting medication, and thankfully these are now under control. However, this comes at the cost of a significantly weakened immune system — a daily reminder of the challenges people with MS face.
Want to help make a difference?
I’m raising money for the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and every donation — big or small — will help make a real impact.
More than 130,000 people in the UK live with MS. The MS Society supports every one of them through the highs, the lows, and everything in between. While there is currently no cure, the charity provides hope for the future by investing millions into research, and vital help for today through information, support, and campaigning.
Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.
Thank you so much for your support — it truly means more than I can say.
