Team Nicole

Nicole Cober is 25  years old.  She just earned her Bachelors Degree in Health Administration from Central Michigan University.  Nicole went to her doctors for what should have been an ordinary neck adjustment.  The incorrect adjustment caused a vertebral artery dissection (VAD).  VAD caused a blood clot that caused a stroke.  This happened to Nicole.  However, because an ER doctor and a neurologist both misdiagnosed her with Bell’s Palsy, she continued to stroke for an entire week causing more damage to her brain.  Now Nicole is paralyzed from her neck down.  Her mind is still sound because this part of her brain was undamaged.  Nicole is able to communicate with yes and no answers by closing her eyes and if the answer is no she keeps her eyes closed; if the answer is yes, she opens her eyes.  The doctors say that with a lot of hard work Nicole will be able to talk and eat on her own and eventually she should have some movement on the right side of her body, although they don’t know how much.  Nicole’s mother, Patty Carson, has been at the hospital everyday with Nicole, so she hasn’t been able to work.  Nicole lives with her mom and will need to have a home to come to when she is able.  Please donate funds to help with Nicole’s medical expenses as well as her mother’s household expenses so that her mother can continue to be by her side.
