Support for Eli and His Family

❤️ Help Eli Fight Leukemia and Support His Family

Eli Liu and his wife came to America from China with a dream—to build a better life through education, hard work, and opportunity. Leaving behind his parents and grandparents, Eli was determined to make that dream a reality. He stayed closely connected with his family back home, even through the distance. Recently, he experienced the heartbreaking loss of his grandfather and was unable to return to China for the funeral.

Eli pursued his education at the University of Dayton, earning a master’s degree in engineering. As an international student on a visa, he worked tirelessly to support himself—taking on jobs at the university and in restaurants to pay his way through school. Eli is the sole provider, as his wife, Yijia, is not permitted to work in the United States.

In the summer of 2025, Eli earned an internship with Marker Construction, where he quickly stood out for his dedication and talent. After graduating, he was offered a full-time position as a Project Engineer. He accepted with excitement and gave his all—earning recognition and even receiving the company’s Rising Star Award in a very short time.

But just as life was coming together, everything changed.

In December, Eli began feeling sick. What he thought was a bad cold continued to worsen. By mid-January, he suffered a severe nosebleed that wouldn’t stop, leading him to seek medical care. After testing, Eli received devastating news:

He was diagnosed with leukemia.

Eli is now undergoing aggressive treatment and is currently in an isolation ward, where he is expected to remain for at least three months. His immune system is extremely weakened, and even minor infections pose serious risks. His recovery will be long, difficult, and uncertain—but we remain hopeful.
During this time, Eli is unable to work, and his short-term disability benefits are limited. With Yijia unable to work due to visa restrictions, they are facing overwhelming financial strain. Everyday necessities—rent, food, medical expenses, and basic living costs—are becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

We are asking for your support to help ease this burden so Eli can focus on what matters most: his fight for recovery.

Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference for Eli and Yijia during this incredibly challenging time. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page to help spread the word.

Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. ❤️
