My name is Richard, and I teach 7th grade students who face daily challenges with food insecurity. Many of my students come to school hungry, and while our school provides free breakfast and lunch, it’s often not enough to keep them satisfied throughout the day. Hunger makes it hard for them to focus, participate, and reach their full potential in the classroom.
I want to be the adult my students can trust—someone who sees them not just as students, but as young people with real needs and bright futures. By providing nutritious snacks like cereal, I hope to help them get through the day without the distraction of a growling stomach. I want my classroom to be a place where they feel supported, cared for, and able to learn without worry.
With your help, I can purchase cereal dispensers and keep them filled, making sure every student has access to a healthy snack when they need it. Your support—whether through a donation, sharing this fundraiser, or spreading the word—will make a real difference in the lives of 170 amazing 7th graders. Thank you for helping me show them that their community cares.
