I'd love to share my "story story" with you as we connect so feel free to reach out, find me in the gram or shoot me an email because building community is how I survive. I've worked with communities since 2005. This particular gesture of receiving is centered around funding for a very very intentional certification. I have spent a little over a year looking for a certification that aligns with who I am, what I do and feels personal to my own community. This certification educates a person on how to reverse chronic illnesses through nutrition and detoxing. I am a firm believer that the body is fully equipped to heal itself. In my current business, Sievers Wellness I provide a space for folks to safely connect to their bodies, release emotional trauma in the body, learn how to decolonize their lives and how to get to the root of their own healing. This certification will provide me with the proper education, tools and guidance to be able to help folks in our community heal from the numerous chronic illnesses that are prevalent in communities of color. I can go on and on about this particular topic because it's true to my life. My mother's side has a high rate of cancer/high blood pressure and my father's side has a dominant presence of diabetes and heart diseases. Shit! Most people don't even know certain illnesses are fully reversible and think they're doomed because genetics, age or race.
This is not only community work for me but it's my heart's work. I'd like to be a vessel and a resource for folks to lean on to truly heal from the inside out, without traumatic experiences from the medical industry and without numerous medications. I appreciate your time, effort and presence. I believe that with more healing comes more love and with more love comes less disconnect.
