Support Nusayba Ali’s Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Lena, Mona, Rabia, Reshma, and Uzma, friends of the Ali/Kureshi family, and khalas to Nusayba “Warrior Princess” are setting up this fund in response to the overwhelming kindness of everyone who wants to help the family in this trying time. We have received dozens of requests to help facilitate the delivery of gifts, gift cards, and meals to the family. Rather than coordinate many efforts separately, this fund will allow the family to meet their many needs in an easier way. Your gifts to this fund will help cover some of their many costs during this difficult period.
This is the beginning of Nusayba's treatment, which will take many months, so your support, love, and prayers throughout this time is much appreciated.
Note: This is not a public campaign and this link is not for social media. Please do feel free to forward it, on that basis, to friends who have asked about how they can help.

Our precious daughter Nusayba was diagnosed with Stage 4 Hepatoblastoma (liver cancer) in April. Hepatoblastoma is rare (affecting only about 1-2 children out of 1 million) but it is the most common form of liver tumor in children (and is usually diagnosed during the first 3 years of life). Because Nusayba's cancer was found in all lobes of her liver along with a small nodule in her lung, she will be undergoing intensive chemotherapy (weekly for 8 weeks) followed by a liver transplant and then some post-transplant chemo (for 9 weeks).
We had a rough start with a piece of one of her liver tumor's rupturing and bleeding into her belly, but we are so grateful that things stabilized and she's completed 2 chemo sessions. The next 6-7 months will be tough, but our Warrior Princess has been living up to her name through showing unbelievable strength, patience, and courage. We are inspired by her and by her brother Ibrahim (who has had his world flipped upside down and is doing his best to bravely deal with his emotions around all this). We hope to, God-willing, get through this difficult time with sabr (patience) and shukr (gratitude). We are beyond touched by everyone's outpouring of kindness, prayers, and love. We don't have the words to express our gratitude, but please know we are so moved and that our hearts are bursting with gratitude and appreciation <3 May you and your families always be blessed <3
