Help Ed Fight Liver Rejection and Stay Strong!

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

I’m reaching out today with a heavy but hopeful heart to ask for your support as my friend's son, Eduardo, bravely faces a serious health challenge.

From Christina - his mother:

Eduardo is 14 years old and received a liver transplant at the age of 10. Since February, he’s been battling organ rejection. In the past few months, he has undergone four liver biopsies in an effort to find the right treatment. Unfortunately, standard therapies are no longer working. His medical team is now preparing to start a more aggressive treatment — one that will wipe out his T-cells and severely compromise his immune system, leaving him vulnerable to life-threatening infections. It’s an overwhelming and frightening time.

We’ve been at Texas Children’s Hospital for over a week now, and it’s still uncertain how long we’ll need to remain here. I relocated countries and quit my past job to keep Eduardo close to his transplant team, and while I know it was the right decision, it’s left me without a stable income. As days pass, expenses for food, lodging, transportation, and daily necessities are piling up, and I’m humbly asking for help.

Through all of this, Eduardo remains an inspiration. Despite being pulled away from school and a “normal” life since age 10, he smiles every single day. He’s resilient, joyful, and unbelievably strong. This journey has taken a lot from him — playdates, classrooms, and carefree moments — but it hasn’t taken his spirit.

We continue to stay hopeful that Eduardo will overcome this setback and go back to being the active, happy kid he deserves to be. Any amount you can give — or even just sharing this page — means the world to us. Your prayers, love, and support lift us during these uncertain days.
