Hello, my name is Sushant, and later this year I will be travelling to Cambodia for the purpose of educating children in villages with low english exposure. Cambodia is a country that has suffered greatly in the last 50 odd years. They have suffered genocides, economic instability, and political unrest. 1 in 4 people in Cambodia have lost someone directly as a result of the Khmer Rouge. This has created a vicious cycle of poverty, which has become incredibly difficult to escape for the Cambodian youth. One way to escape the cycle is to learn English, and go to university. English is not taught in the villages to which I will be travelling, which is why I will specifically be travelling there to expose these children to the English Language, and help them escape the poverty cycle. The funds will go towards funding for village improving systems such as water filters and working toilets. Thanks!
