Hi, my name is Joy Hedrick. As part of our opportunities within the Messiah University Nursing program, several of us are traveling to Zambia for our Population and Global Health course for three weeks. While there, we will have clinical at Macha Mission Hospital and within the village. We will work with various individuals, including HIV treatment, women's health, vaccine administration and patient education. Additionally, cultural immersion, including ministry and time spent with the people of Macha, will allow me to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for global health. I am excited for this opportunity and the chance to further my education while incorporating medicine. However, all of this comes with additonal costs above and beyond regular college tuition.
