Hello,

I am Ash, longtime friend of Sophia. My hope is to help an incredible person navigate serious health challenges that have recently paused and impacted her life. To know Sophia is to know she's the ultimate fit girl and health junkie. When she’s not working on her own health, she’s saving and improving the lives of others as a Registered Nurse. So this current chapter comes as a complete shock. Sophia is currently hospitalized as she's undergone one procedure and is facing another upcoming surgical procedure soon. So far, we know of an 8-week recovery time but there could be more as each day, test, and procedure unfolds more details of her current state and the medical attention needed. We don't know how long she will be in the hospital and unable to work as she recovers. Being that she works for a small organization, she doesn’t have many of the supplemental health benefits that many of us are afforded. Right now, I want to alleviate any stress related to finances (hospital bills and monthly home expenses). I've set up this GoFundMe to allow friends, family, and strangers to give what they can to help a friend in need. We don't just ask for financial support.
