In September 2025, the Ministry of Higher Education opened registration for the first cohort of university students since the war began. The process was centralized through the Ministry’s digital platform, and more than 100 new students registered for the BSc in Nursing at Comboni College of Science and Technology (CCST). Some are local students, while others are young people from families displaced by the war from other parts of Sudan.
CCST’s Bachelor of Nursing is designed to remain accessible to students from low- and middle-income families who have the vocation, commitment, and passion to serve people in need. A fundamental part of their education is hands-on clinical training, both in the nursing skills laboratory and in the health centres of the State.
This practice-oriented approach is essential for preparing competent and compassionate nurses, but it is also costly. We are committed to maintaining high-quality practical training while keeping tuition fees affordable for students whose families have already been affected by war and displacement.
Your support can help us make this possible—giving these young people the opportunity to become qualified nurses and, in turn, serve their communities at a time when the health system needs them most.
The "Misioneros Combonianos del Corazón de Jesús" support and manage this project of Comboni College of Science and Technology. Thus funds are sent to the account of Misioneros Combonianos del Corazón de Jesús".
