Support to Nursing Training at Comboni College (CCST)

More than 11 million people have been displaced by the conflict . One of the consequences of the war has been the suspension of academic activities until a new period of stability and security. However, these interruptions only contribute to making the situation worse. The lack of education pushes thousands of young people to join competing armies as the only way to build a future, which at the same time prolongs conflicts and gives rise to a vicious cycle of violence.

Mr. Anthony Haggar was an active member of the Board of Trustees of Comboni College of Science and Technology (CCST) until the last meeting that took place online on 19th March 2023.

The university moved its headquarters in order to offer the students the possibility of continuing their academic journey.

In the new site, the administration of the College manages the different academic programs online and some members of the Department of Nursing administer the BSc in Nursing Sciences and a new nursing clinic-palliative care hospice. They also train health professionals and volunteers in palliative care. These volunteers support families with person with terminal and chronic diseases at home.

The "Misioneros Combonianos del Corazón de Jesús" support and manage this project of Comboni College of Science and Technology. Thus funds are sent to the account of Misioneros Combonianos del Corazón de Jesús".

The university needs support to train the students of the BSc in Nursing and continue academic activities.
