Nursing home move

Hello,

My name is Samantha Finney. I currently live in Virginia. My father, James Finney, lives in Michigan. January 8, 2024 my father had a massive stroke while trying to get out of bed at home. He is currently paralyzed on his left side. He suffered a massive brain bleed which has caused some recovery issues. He cannot feed himself or even sit up; after 2 months, we don't have much improvement. My father was working 12 hour shifts, 4 days per week. This was never expected. My father was very healthy. He was always a hard working man. My father is in Michigan alone with no other family. He has been placed in a nursing home for assisted living and rehab. I am trying to move him to Virginia so he can be with his grandbabies and children. I am a 3 time cancer survivor myself with a 4 year old daughter that has a congenital heart defect. Money is very tight and I can't afford a wheel chair van rental, security deposit for a bigger home to move him in, as well as food, gas and any medical assistance he might need. My father has been an awesome dad and provider for his family his whole life. I owe it to him and unfortunately I am not in a financial state where I can make sure big moves in such little time.
