Boost 4 the Brave - Frontline Staff

I am raising money so we can purchase hampers for nurses and junior doctors that have been redeployed to critical care. Things are definitely no easier than in the first wave but your donation could really make a difference as it will let teams know there are people out there thinking of them. Surge staff are nurses and doctors who do not usually work in critical care but have had to move areas to support with the volume of patients. Staff who do not usually work in critical care are seeing things that the average person wouldn’t see in a lifetime such as family members who are absolutely distraught of the untimely passing of their loved ones as well as under highly pressurised conditions working on wards that are being pushed to the limit in terms of space and staffing numbers. Many staff were frightened to go back to critical care and many are or may in the future suffer with post trauma. To try and support the teams we’ll be partnering with a hamper company so we can deliver gifts to the amazing staff and their families.
