Hi everyone,

My name is Troyleta, and alongside my friend Sian, we are Year 2 nursing students at the University of Bradford, currently studying towards our Bachelor of Science in Nursing with Honours.

We have been given the incredible opportunity to travel to Tanzania for a four-week international nursing placement. This placement will allow us to gain hands-on clinical experience within a different healthcare system, develop our skills as future nurses, and learn firsthand how care is delivered in a low-resource setting.

This is an invaluable learning experience that will shape our future practice, broaden our understanding of global health, and help us grow both professionally and personally as student nurses.

We are fundraising with a target of £5,000, which will go towards covering the cost of accommodation and placement support through a local organisation in Tanzania. This organisation provides safe housing, clinical supervision, and ensures that our placement is ethical, well-structured, and beneficial to both students and the local community.
