Nurse Onyenachi Obasi - Passed Due to Covid-19

Donation protected

Please help us raise funds to bury our mother, sister, aunt and friend. A dedicated key worker working on the front line, who fought till her last breath and gave her life doing what she loved. Onyenachi Obasi is a kind, beautiful, loving and well respected person in her community of Barking & Dagenham. She is a 51-year-old Black British national who professionally worked as a Nurse. Onyenachi was a sweet soul and touched many lives. A lot of hearts are broken in our community.

Onyenachi contracted coronavirus whilst at work and on May 6th at 2:50am, after a long battle in ICU, Onyenachi died of complications due to contracting the virus.

Left behind is her 19-year-old son, who is vulnerable, has special needs and was fully dependent on her. This news is negatively affecting our family, emotionally, psychologically and financially.  As a family, we are saddened that our beloved has passed whilst putting her life selflessly on the line for others.

Our family will be in charge of the funds and hope to bury her in the coming weeks.

A bulk of the fund will be used to give her the burial she deserves. The rest will be used to support her special needs son for the foreseeable future.

Thank you all for your kindness and support!
