Help for Nuri Rivera

Hi Friends and Family,

 

As many of you know, Nuri was diagnosed with breast cancer in late 2021. The prognosis at the time was fair, and she believed her treatments would be pretty straightforward and minimally invasive. She underwent her first surgery in January, but there were some surprises as it goes with cancer. After many weeks of recovery and waiting, Nuri now knows that the best path forward will be a double mastectomy that will take place sometime in May. This is a significant surgery and Nuri will not be able to work for at least three months. As an independent contractor, there is no paid sick leave or short term disability available to her.

 

We are hoping that with this GoFundMe we can raise enough money to help Nuri and her family cover basic living expenses and relieve some of the financial stress and pressure off Tony and Nuri, so that Nuri can focus on her healing and recovery. We will also be creating another meal train once we know the date of the surgery.
