Nurf’s Emergency Medical Treatment

As some of you may know Nurf has been going through a respiratory distress issue. We have taken him to a vet and they didn’t give us a lot of information in regards to his trachea, respiratory condition, nothing!! They did quote us a very large bill to help put him on an oxygen machine. We did have him on it for about 3 hours but unfortunately he isn’t doing as well as we thought. We have been quoted more than 15,000 to get treatment for Nurf. Never in a million years I would’ve thought a situation like this would happen to me. He’s a strong boy, I know he can make it through. Update on Nurf 3/11: he is on intensive care for the next few days. The doctor suggested to keep him at the hospital to avoid any excitement, adrenaline or any sort of emotion that would make him breathe excessively. She mentioned that Nurf is doing better than how he was yesterday however, he is still in need of a lot of care and treatment. He is currently being monitored every hour by nurse. The doctor is still trying to find the reason why he is getting like this. She did mention that it doesn’t have to do with any cardiac issues. He does have liquid in his lungs and around them which is concerning. There is a possibility that Nurf may have a lung torsion but it’s not confirmed. His X-rays were taken and compared to the ones that were taken yesterday and there is improvement. We are now being charged more to just keep him at the hospital. We will continue to update you.
