One of our main concerns with the state of the house is our safety. Strangers constantly sit or lounge outside our house which makes us all very uncomfortable. Some time ago, part of our backyard wall collapsed due to heavy rain and since then we’ve only had spare bits of wood and tarp to cover the opening. And in the most serious cases, there have been four instances of break ins (one instance where my older sister got seriously harmed) due to not having the proper safety precautions that we simply can’t afford.

The other main concern with the house is how it needs repairs and extensions so my family and I can finally start living comfortably. The four of us all currently live in a single room and our little spaces have to act as our bedrooms, living room, dining room, and etc, it impacts our quality of life. The bathroom is unfinished and in a very poor state. Also there are many areas in our house that are falling apart, one example is that the roof leaks when it rains and causes the cement on the ceiling to fall off.

With the money raised we plan to spend it on attending to all repairs needed (both inside and outside), adding a second floor that’ll have three rooms, fixing the backyard wall, and adding a metal fence around the house.

I’m currently my family’s only source of income by doing commissions, and the money I make from that I only use to attend to our necessities like food and bills. We’re asking for help because we’re just not able to do this ourselves, let alone just myself, since it would take years to accomplish. It'd be in our best interest to collect all the money needed as soon as possible to do all the renovations together, instead of one at a time slowly over years.
