Update on Our Beautiful Sweet Soul, Nunu.

Today, Sunday at 1:20 PM, God called our sweetheart mom, Nunu, home to heaven. She passed peacefully and comfortably. Our hearts are sad, but we are comforted knowing she is at peace with Jesus.

We want to thank each and every one of you for your love, prayers, and support through this difficult time. It has meant the world to us.

We will be holding a Celebration of Heaven for Nunu this Saturday, May 24, over Memorial Day weekend at a Marengo park (details to follow). We know this is very soon and may not give everyone time to plan, but this date was chosen with love and intention. Nunu’s grandson, Hunter, has baseball tournaments nearly every weekend after this one, and anyone who knew Nunu knows how much she loved cheering him on. She would have wanted him there and smiling.

We are grateful for your continued support, and we invite you to join us in honoring the incredible woman Nunu was. Thank you again for being there for her, and for all of us.

With Love & Blessings, Shannon, Allison, Jake, Anthony, Hunter & Harper

Update on Nunu:

We wanted to give everyone an update and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being there for us in so many ways. We also wanted to share what we witnessed while mom is preparing for her journey into heaven.

At this time, Nunu will be discharged from hospice care in Barrington. While hospice will continue to support her, she will be moved to a nursing home if we get approved on Monday. If we are approved, we will need to privately pay until we find out if Medicaid approves her or not. Your financial support is helping us immensely with this, and we are so grateful.

My sister Allison and I had to make the incredibly difficult decision : do we make one last effort to take Mom to Mayo Clinic or Good Shepherd Barrington? But in the end, we knew, even if something were found, her body is too weak to undergo treatments and surgeries.

Our hearts are shattered. We still don't have answers, and we won't until she passes. But we've made peace with the decision, and we know in our hearts this is spiritual. We believe God is preparing to call her Home, and what she is going through now is her journey to heaven.

We are witnessing something sacred. We don't call this "end of life", it is her spiritual journey into heaven. She is seeing glimpses of the heavenly home that awaits her. She saw her mother, reached out her hand to her, admiring her beautiful dress and her lovely hair. She smiled and said, "Thank you, Jesus" as if already tasting the peace and love of what lies ahead. We are filled with awe as we watch her walk this divine path. This Go Fund Me is being set up to help us support her comfort during this sacred time, assist with medical and spiritual care, and eventually celebrate her life the way she deserves, full of grace, dignity and beauty.

If you feel led to contribute, know that your gift will go toward honoring not an ending, but a homecoming.

Thank you again for everything, for your love, your prayers, and your support. We truly feel surrounded by your care.

Wishing all of you a peaceful Mother's Day.

We love you all, Love, Shannon, Anthony, Allison, Jake, Harper and Hunter!

Dear Family and Friends,
We never though we'd be making this post, but our family needs your help. It breaks our hearts to share that our sweet mom, Nunu, is very, very sick. Over the past few months, she has been in and out of hospitals and care facilities as we've searched desperately for answers. What started as a sudden and mysterious decline has now left her in a heartbreaking and fragile state.

Just a short time ago, she was living life, running errands, walking and enjoying her days. Then, almost overnight, everything changed. She became extremely confused and declined rapidly. Despite countless doctor visits, MRIs, Lumbar Punctures, and Neuro. appointments, we still don't have a clear diagnosis. Doctors now believe it could be Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease (CJD), which can only be confirmed after passing. She also has been diagnosed with aggressive autoimmune-related Alzheimer's.

We've fought hard for her, exploring every possible treatment but her body is now tired. Her condition has not improved, and we've had to make the devastating decision to focus on comfort and peace. She is in hospice care, but because her vitals are stable, she no longer qualifies to stay at the hospice facility but qualifies to stay on hospice but in a nursing home facility, and now we are urgently seeking a nursing home placement. We are Medicaid pending, but in the meantime, we will be required to pay privately for her care.

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your love, prayers, and support both emotional and financial as we navigate this incredibly difficult time. Anything you can contribute to help with her medical and care expenses means more than we can ever express.

Thank you for holding our family in your hearts.

With love,
Shannon Price, Anthony Kirchhoff, Allison Muench, Jake Muench, Hunter Muench and Harper Muench
