Helping out Aaron

Donation protected

March 21, 2020 marked the one year anniversary of Aaron entering our home and being adopted from the New York bully crew in Long Island, New York. This morning was different than most mornings because as Aaron ventured outside for his normal routine, with his Papa Nick, he began to drag his back end. Nick helped Aaron with using the bathroom and then brought him back into the house and helped him lay on his bed. I was informed by nick of what was going on and I began to watch Aaron very closely. As usual, Aaron became fussy and wanted to go outside for his normal afternoon bathroom break, so I helped him outside. He now was completely dragging his back end and needed total support to even walk. At this point I picked Aaron up brought him back into the house and then layed with him for about an hour before a close friend recommended him being brought to Tufts university in Massachusetts because this was the best neurological hospital around.

I took Aaron to Tufts, only to
be informed that I wasn’t going to be able to enter the building because of the Corona virus. The girls took Aaron onto a stretcher and rolled him into the facility. I sat there in tears because I didn’t know who or what Aaron would be going up against. I didn’t know as well, if I would ever see him again. They called me and communicated through the telephone everything they were going to be doing and this all sang to the tune of $6500 to $7500 total.

We couldn’t turn our backs on Aaron now when he was down and needed us most. So just like any parents would do, we gave our consent and they began treatment. Tufts has been great with informing us for the past few days of what has been going on and what is happening. Aaron has so far received an MRI, a spinal tap, blood work and also has been given two overnight hospital stays but it is not over yet.
Nick and I are hoping you will find it in your hearts to help us any way you can with these unexpected medical costs that keep climbing. Aaron will receive an additional test on Tuesday morning March 24, 2020 and we are still in the dark as to what is happening with him exactly. We deeply appreciate all the prayers, kind words and sincere messages. We vow that any money received will solemnly go towards his treatment. Thank you all in advance and anything is much appreciated.
