Numbers Needs Glasses

Donation protected
I hate doing this, but, well, your old pal Numbers (or friend Helix, or buddy Six, or however else you guys know me!) is in a spot of bother.

I'll get right to the meat of it: I need new glasses, and I've been "on call" (as in, out of work until I'm needed) for long enough that what would normally be just an annoyance has become a stressful unexpected expense.  And unfortunately, my trash-tier eyes aren't getting any better.

You guys know I like to keep things silly and lighthearted around here.  When you guys decide to check out my page, I want it to be full of fun stuff to keep a smile on your faces, only getting serious when it's something that's gotten to me (like when someone's whose work I enjoy passes away, or, well, this).  Regrettably, I have to bum you guys out with this, but you know I wouldn't do so if it wasn't important.

I would've loved to have put up my thoughts of this year's New York Toy Fair (deep-diving on how in two days, Hasbro crushed what Matty did with the Ghostbusters and Halo licenses, and what the reveals might tell us about Afterlife and Infinite), but buying action figures, Nerf weapon platforms, and particle thrower prop replicas isn't exactly high on my priorities right now.

This year, I have some fun stuff coming for you guys.  I have multiple video projects in various states of incompletion, including reviews, a bit of costumed silliness, and of course, the last stop-motion project I'll ever undertake unless I find myself pulled back into the life for "just one last job."  (I stopped making stop-motion shorts years ago to start making Ages 25 & Up, and rest assured, the irony of #400 isn't lost on me.  I'm not done yet, in more ways than one.)

If you guys can help, I'd appreciate it.  I hate asking you for anything more than your friendship but I'm in a bit of a bind here.  I sat on whether or not to even set this thing up because I hate doing this to you guys.  When things get back to normal, I'll make it worth your while.

Thanks a lot for everything, everyone.

(Photo in the header from Oliver, thanks, dude!)
